New library project - GLaM

gerringong-library1.jpg With Gerringong’s increasing population, Kiama Council has recognised the need to expand the library service in Gerringong.

The new building on Blackwood Street will be a combination library, museum (with the Gerringong and District Historical Society), display gallery and community meeting rooms.

Constructed on the site of the current School of Arts building, the new plan incorporates the existing heritage-listed elements into a multi-focus community space that will be known as the Gerringong Library and Museum (GLaM).

Construction is underway and is due to be completed in the second half of 2021. Find out more about our floor plan(PDF, 535KB) and how we hope to use the expanded space here.
