Holiday opening hours

Please note the following changes to our opening hours for December 2025 and January 2026.

Saturday 20 December

Gerringong Library will be closed for the day on Saturday 20 December, for the Gerringong Christmas Street Parade. Come and visit our Library Stall at the Gerringong Market for bookish stocking fillers!

Christmas/New Year holidays

Kiama and Gerringong libraries will be closed for the holidays from 3pm on Wednesday 24 December.

Kiama Library will reopen at 9:30am on Monday 5 January 2026, and Gerringong Library at 9.30am on Tuesday 6 January 2026.

The Kiama Family History Centre will be closed from 9.30am Wednesday 10 December through to 9:30am Wednesday 14 January 2024.

Australia Day public holiday

Kiama Library will be closed for the day on Monday 26 January 2026 for the public holiday.

Usual opening hours

Kiama Library is open 9.30am – 5pm Monday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday, 9.30am - 7pm on Tuesday, and 9.30am - 1pm on Saturday. 

Gerringong Library is open 9.30am - 5pm Tuesday-Friday, and 9.30am - 1pm on Saturday.

The Kiama Family History Centre is open 9.30am - 3.30pm Wednesday-Friday, and 9:30am - 1pm on Saturday.
