Donate items

Item donations

Kiama Library accepts donated items for our collection that comply with our collection development policy.

We gratefully accept:

• books and audio books in as-new condition (please note, we no longer accept DVDs or CDs)
• items no older than a year or two
• current issues of magazines

Anything that does not comply with these conditions is generally passed on to the Friends of Kiama Library for library fundraising or to our street libraries. What remains is sent to Lifeline to help them in their charity work.

If you have another type of item you wish to donate, please talk to our staff.

Local history donations

We are always keen to receive donations of images, documents, memorabilia and other ephemera with local relevance not already held in our local history collection. Be they of people or places or events, we're interested in anything about life in the Kiama district.
