Kiama Library auditorium

Using the Library Room Hire Auditorium

The auditorium is a joint Library and Kiama Community College facility located on the ground floor of the Kiama Library building, and is available for hire when not in use.

Ideal for:

  • low noise impact meetings, conferences, presentations and events
  • corporate, educational or community groups
  • private groups such as book clubs and study groups.



The auditorium is a large room that can be divided into two. Each half can be hired individually or as a whole room.

  • Half room fits approx. 20 people seated with chairs and tables.
  • Full room fits approx. 40 people seated with chairs and tables, or up to 90 with theatre-style seating.
  • Projector with audio available - talk to staff for more information. 
  • WiFi  available during Library operation hours.


Who can be involved?

  • Hire is on an application basis, with priority given to groups and organisations from the local government area.
  • After-sunset hire available for meetings or other low noise impact uses only. Parties, weddings and dances are not permitted.
  • Hire is at the discretion of the Kiama Community College and the Library, and is subject to suitability and availability.


Fees and bookings

  • Half-room day (9 am - 6 pm) $21 per hr
  • Half-room evening (6 - 10 pm) $23 per hr
  • Whole room day (9 am - 6 pm) $44 per hr
  • Whole room evening (6 - 10 pm) $46 per hr
