Use this passport to track your reading journey. Earn stamps and win great prizes by completing challenges and reading books.

Can you complete the ultimate adventure?

How it works

The Book Passport Reading Challenge is open to ages 5-12.

You must be a member of Kiama Library to participate. (Not a member? You can join at Kiama or Gerringong library branches or join online.)

The Reading Challenge runs from the start of Book Week (Monday 18 August) until the end of the spring school holidays (Friday 10 October). All entries to the prize draw must be received by 5pm, Friday 10 October 2025.

Taking part is easy - all you need to do is collect a Book Passport from Kiama or Gerringong Library, or download(PDF, 24MB) one here, and choose a challenge and a book you want to read. Then, once you complete each challenge, cut it out and stick it into your passport (or, if you're using the downloadable booklet version, colour in the circle for each challenge you complete).

You can choose to read fiction or non-fiction books, picture books, magazines, eBooks, audiobooks or graphic novels. You can borrow from either Kiama or Gerringong Library, or use our electronic resources.

Bring your passport or booklet to the library and we'll stamp each challenge you've completed. Once you've completed all the challenges, fill out the details on the entry form (including name, library member number, age and contact phone number) and bring in your completed passport or booklet to Kiama or Gerringong library by 5pm, Friday 10 October 2025 to receive a lucky dip prize and to go in the draw to win the grand prize - a Mont Marte art pack.
