Lisa Darcy: Christmas actually
Next date: Friday, 06 December 2024 | 05:00 PM
to 06:00 PM
Come along to Gerringong Library for a celebration of local author Lisa Darcy's fabulous new novel, Christmas Actually!
Time spent with family can be challenging, especially at Christmas actually.
As the countdown to Christmas begins, and memories of her childhood resurface, Kate’s anxiety deepens – both personally and professionally. Can she move on from past events and rebuild her future?
Keeping with the yuletide spirit, Christmas Actually is ultimately about humanity: putting others first and showing kindness and clemency. Love, in all its incarnations, need not be out of reach.
In conversation with author A.L. Tait, Lisa will discuss her novel in celebration of the Australian Christmas season.
This is a FREE event, booking essential.
Christmas nibbles provided.
Books from both authors will be available for signing and purchase.

In 2000, with three children under five at home, Lisa Heidke started writing her first novel. Fast forward to 2024, and she is now an accomplished international author with ten books to her name. Or should that be names! Lisa published her first five novels - Lucy Springer Gets Even (2009), What Kate Did Next (2010), Claudia’s Big Break (2011), Stella Makes Good (2012), and It Started With A Kiss (2015) - as Lisa Heidke with Allen & Unwin. In 2021, she moved to Bloodhound Books UK, and Lisa Darcy was born. That same year, Lily’s Little Flower Shop, a fish-out-of water coastal romance, was published, and has since been translated into French and Italian. And two of her earlier novels, Claudia’s Big Break and Stella Makes Good were republished as My Big Greek Holidayand Should You Keep a Secret? Christmas Actually is her latest novel.
