1 in 6

Did you know that 18%, or 1 in 6 people in Australia have disability, including 9.3% of people aged 15–24 years?

And another 22% of people in Australia have a long-term health condition but no disability.

Most Australians are affected by disability, whether they are living with disability themselves or caring for someone close to them.

The disability population is diverse. People have varying types and levels of disability, and their support needs vary widely.

Find out more about people's experience of living with disability, and how you or someone close to you can get support.
