We've got lots of fun activities and workshops happening at the library this school holidays for kid and teens, and some great things to do at home as well.

Making a journal encourages writing, reading and doodling. Come along and learn to make a journal to use for documenting all your ideas, memories, stories and pictures. (You could even bring it along to our storytelling and writing workshop!)

Want to save the planet AND make some money? Join us for a beeswax wrap working bee where you'll learn how to make wraps AND how to promote and sell what you make at The Big Get Together event!

Simply organise your Big Get Together market stall with SENTRAL Youth Services (melissaa@kiama.nsw.gov.au), come along to our workshop and we'll help you make your wraps, labels and signage. All materials provided.

A family LEGO challenge with a difference! Using your super skills, and the fabulous library Lego collection, you and your family will have 1 hr to design and make a maze that is more than just a winding path from the beginning to the end! Can you use gravity and motion to get the ball to go where you want it to? Come along and give it a go!

Wires and electrical circuit kitBuzz wire robotic activity

Build your buzz wire then attempt to guide the metal hook along your course without touching the wire! If you do touch the wire you will complete the circuit, making the LED light up and the buzzer sound. Once you make it, take it home and become a buzz wire master by the end of the holidays.

Karen Hendriks is a children’s author who believes that stories can change the world. She hopes that her stories empower and inspire children to believe that anything is possible if you dare to dream.

In this kid's writing workshop, Karen will share her picture book Go Away, Foxy Foxy and the children will then learn how to plan and write their own Foxy Foxy story.
