Sepia photograph of Kiama township, circa 1900sAt the heart of every town are people and buildings. NSW State Archives staff have researched the amazing history, people and architecture of Kiama, which will be on show (virtually) through a webinar hosted by Kiama Library.

From school files and public building plans; theatres and public halls files to probate packets, deceased estate and bankruptcy files, NSW State Archives offers a deep dive into Kiama’s rich history and the people who make the town. Archives shown will include documents about the Kiama Public School and Charmian Clift. NSW State Archives experts will be on hand to offer insights about the archives; what they say about Kiama and it’s the people; how archives can be accessed by the public; and to answer questions.
