Be Connected is an Australian Government initiative that offers free online learning resources and tutorials to develop your digital skills and confidence at your own pace.

Find out about online shopping, passwords and eSafety, social media, using the cloud, and more, as well as how to get started or get the most out of your mobile phone, tablet, laptop or desktop computer (the basics through to advanced tutorials). 

GCFGlobal

AGCFGlobal is an alternative free platform with online tutorials at all levels.

Find out how to use Zoom, or Microsoft Word and Excel, through to digital photography basics and creating your own webpages with basic HTML.

Got tech problems? There's a teen for that ...

If you've ever wondered why your phone has blue teeth or why your photos are floating in a cloud, a team of knowledgeable high school students is available on Thursday afternoons to help you find the answers. 

Kiama Library is hosting short one-on-one training sessions for tech problems with mobile phones, tablets and laptops. Our courageous team of teens is willing to take on most any topic:

  • smartphone use
  • texting
  • cloud computing
  • connecting to a network.

You name the problem and they will try to find the solution. 

30-minute sessions are available by appointment only and take place every Thursday afternoon 3.30-5.30pm during school term.

Please have your tech query ready when you make your booking.
