Services Home Library

If you're unable to get to the library, we'll come to you.

Home library is a free service for residents of Kiama municipality who are unable to come to the library or access our services. 

At no charge, we select and deliver books, audiobooks, magazines or DVDs to you at home, based on your interests.

Alternatively, you may wish to access our eLibrary from home. With thousands of eBooks, audiobooks and eMagazines on offer, there is plenty of choice. Please contact us if you need help getting started.

 

Who is eligible

Our service supports those in the community who are unable to get to the library in person. This could be due to:

  • Suffering from a a short- or long-term illness
  • Recovering from an operation
  • Unable to carry library books home
  • Elderly and frail
  • Carers who cannot easily leave home
  • New mothers who are unable to come to the library.

 

There is no age limit to our service.

You must be a resident of the Kiama Municipality.

We offer a personalised service and take great care to choose items that match your interests.

Tell us your favourite genres, authors and interests, or request a specific item.

Assistive technology is designed for people requiring assistance in accessing books, audioooks and other items. Please let us know if you require advice or help getting set up.
