These 12 inspiring women came from all over the world - Romania, Afghanistan, Serbia, Sri Lanka, Peru, North Macedonia, Chile, Bosnia, Malaysia and South Africa. Despite often facing discrimination, economic hardship, and personal struggles, they each emerged triumphant, proving that, with unwavering resolve, anything is possible. 

The stories in this book are unique, inspiring, and gently and lovingly told. An Unexpected Life is a must-read to appreciate the language barriers and cultural challenges experienced by immigrants, as well as the unexpected traumas and enjoyments encountered along the way.
